I rounded a corner and saw them sitting in the glow of my headlights. Two rabbits just chilling on the road. They didn’t move, just looked at me with big eyes. It felt oddly peaceful driving slowly past them. They didn’t seem in any rush. I could see their little noses twitch. For a moment, it was just me and them in the night.
